  • Adjustable Toggle Clamps

These clamps make great tools to hold knives in place for hand sanding. They are adjustable to change the amount of pressure clamping down on your work.

  • Digital Angle Finder

I constantly use this angle finder around the shop. The best use so far is making sure my platen and work rest are square with each other before grinding knives.

  • Confined Space Belt Sander

I use this sander to get into tight/confined spaces. The 1/2in. wide x 18in. long arm makes it easy to grind out seams from the inside of metal tubing.

  • WEN Wet/Dry Sharpening System

This system goes forward and reverse. It comes with a 220 grit stone, and also has a leather strop wheel attached. There are other recommended attachments for this as well.

  • WEN Sharpening Accessory Kit

This kit comes with additional knife jigs to use with the wet/dry sharpening system. It has jigs for long or short knives, as well as axes and scissors.

  • Tormek Stone Grader

This stone grader will work on the WEN sharpening system. Using it, you can refine the stone to 1000 grit, or maintain the 220 grit the system comes with.

  • Tormek Truing and Dressing Tool

This tool mounts and locks easily onto the WEN sharpening system. It keeps your grinding stone round and flat with minimal effort.

  • Lansky Sharpening System

The Lansky sharpening system is a cost effective way to keep your knives razor sharp! The carrying case makes it very easy to bring it along while camping, or going out in the field.

  • Lansky Leather Strop

This strop is easily integrated with the Lansky sharpening system. This addition to the kit will help hone the razor sharp edge you put on your knife.

  • Dykem Steel Blue Layout Fluid

By brushing on layout fluid, I am able to see scribe lines for knife profiles and bevels very easily. Dykem dries fast, and is a lot better than gluing paper templates to your steel.

  • Granite Surface Plate

A flat surface is crucial to making sure your knives and handle material will mate properly. I purchased this granite surface plate to ensure my materials are always flat.

  • Ferric Chloride

When etching my knives, I like to use ferric chloride. This gives it a nice dark etch good for my stonewash texture I add by rock tumbling my work.

  • Butcher Block Scratch Brush

This ergonomic butcher block brush makes cleaning scale off work a breeze. It is light, and the bristles allow for aggressive scraping without deforming easily.

  • Joby GripTight Mount Pro

I attach this phone mount to a tripod, and maneuver it around my shop. Using this, I can easily film content, hands free. It’s a huge help, especially when carrying heavy or hot items!
