The Firetruck

Some things finish their work.

Some are simply forgotten.

This truck served a community in Northern Arizona for years.

Then a split water tank ended its service.

Most people saw an old firetruck.

I saw a machine that still had another story to tell.

Why This Truck

I’ve always admired the 1973 - 1979 Ford “Dentside” trucks.

When this one appeared on a government surplus site, it wasn’t polished or preserved.

It was weathered.

Retired.

Waiting.

Being an Arizona truck only made it feel more like bringing a piece of home back to life.

The Vision

This isn’t about creating a museum pice.

It’s about honoring what the truck was while preparing it for what it can become.

A modern drivetrain.

A restored interior.

The unmistakable character of a 1970’s Ford.

Ready for another lifetime of honest work.

More Than a Restoration

This truck will eventually become the Reaper Mfg shop truck.

Not because it’s practical.

Because it represents what this workshop believes.

Good things, built with purpose, deserve another lifetime.

Like every project at Reaper Mfg, this one starts with a simple idea. It’s more than a restoration project. It’s another chapter in the Reaper Mfg story, told one piece at a time.

Follow the Build

Right now, the truck sits patiently, waiting for its next chapter.

Good work takes time.

Every step of the restoration is being documented on YouTube. If you’d like to follow the build, you’re always welcome in the workshop.

Join the Journey

The firetruck is being rebuilt the same way Reaper Mfg was founded.

One piece at a time.

Some will follow the build.

Some will help move it forward.

Whether you purchase a tool, share the project, or simply follow along, you’re helping write another chapter to something that still has work left to do.
